Today we’re very happy to announce that we’ve released firmware updates for Cloudburst, Iridium, V2 Deco, V2 DIG, V2 El Capistan, V2 Flint and V2 Lex, addressing some minor issues and adding some requested new features. We’re confident that the changes will improve your overall playing experience, so read on below to see what’s different!
To update the firmware, simply download Strymon Update from our support page, connect your pedals via the onboard USB-C connection and hit the Update button once a picture of the pedal appears in Strymon Update. It’s easy and painless, but don’t hesitate to reach out to us here if you have any issues — we’re here to help!

Note: these firmware updates are for the V2 versions of Deco, DIG, El Capistan, Flint and Lex.
What’s new:
- Added secondary function ENSEMBLE mp LEVEL ADJUST for adjusting the level of the mp ENSEMBLE setting.
- Added MIDI CC# 17 for ENSEMBLE mp LEVEL ADJUST.
- Added new CUSTOM MODE for Cloudburst with MultiSwitch Plus. Cloudburst CUSTOM MODE allows combined access to PRESET 1, PRESET 2, and FREEZE/INFINITE with MultiSwitch Plus.
What’s Fixed:
- Corrected issues that could result in unexpected output level changes.
- Corrected MultiSwitch Plus to always extinguish LEDs for presets which are no longer active.
What’s new:
- Added new LIVE EDIT feature, AMP DISABLE, for individual presets.
- Added CC# 21 for AMP DISABLE.
- LEVEL TRIM setting is now saved through power cycles.
What’s fixed:
- Sweeping the SATURATION knob from maximum to minimum no longer results in a loud volume burst.
- Press and hold audio functions won’t engage and stay on with a fast press/release of the footswitch.
- Presets saved with MIDI Clock Tap Division settings are now recalled correctly with the same TAP/DIV setting.
What’s new:
- Added MIDI CC# 25 for Clock Division.
What’s fixed:
- PING PONG mode now functions like the V1 DIG pedal.
- DELAY 1 and DELAY 2 output on the opposite side when set to PARALLEL mode has been corrected.
- HOLD features have been removed from TAP CC# 93.
- Press and hold audio functions no longer engage and stay on with fast press/release of the corresponding footswitch.
- Presets saved with MIDI clock tap division settings are now recalled accurately with the same TAP/DIV setting.
What’s new:
- Added MIDI CC# 25 for Clock Division.
What’s fixed:
- HOLD features have been removed from TAP CC# 93.
- Loud beep sound when clearing a recorded SOS loop with TAP switch has been resolved.
- SOS looper now correctly records and plays back audio while responding to MIDI clock.
- Reverb is no longer heard from the output when both MIX and REVERB knobs are set to 0.
- Press and hold audio functions no longer engage and stay on with a fast press/release of the corresponding footswitch.
What’s new:
- Added MIDI Clock Division MIDI CC# 25.
What’s fixed:
- Using Flint with MultiSwitch Plus in PRESET Mode no longer locks up the pedal.
- Pedal no longer locks up, and audio output is maintained when engaged while receiving MIDI clock at power-up.
- Spillover no longer affects TREMOLO.
- BOOST from both TREMOLO and REVERB sides now stack like V1 Flint.
