There is an effect that has made rock history, and Strymon has decided to pay tribute to it with the Ultraviolet, the latest addition to the catalog.
After the successful test on Cloudburst (which you can see here), Luca Colombo tested it for us explaining the history of this historic effect.

UltraViolet is a hyper-accurate recreation of the classic Univibe sound that began with the original Shin Ei Univibe® in the late 1960s, but it goes far beyond those original units in terms of flexibility. In fact, all the interdependencies of the critical components of the original have been captured down to the smallest nuance, but innovation has also been brought by adding a new Blend mode to the original Chorus (50/50) and Vibrato (100% wet) settings to achieve a 70/30 mix of dry and wet for a more subtle effect. Three different Bias settings have also been added, allowing the intensity of the vibrato sound to be radically altered according to the needs of the music.
The Ultraviolet meticulously recreates the unmistakable characteristics of classic optical vibration circuits, offering a unique flavor of modulation that breathes life into your playing. Immerse yourself in the sound of the psychedelic 60s with full stereo I/O and full MIDI capabilities.
In the video, Luca tested the Ultraviolet paired with the ZEMAITIS MFG-AC-22 BK.
